For most of us, installing and typing Sinhala was a daunting task.
I found a combination of applications, gadgets supplied by,
- ICTA Sri Lanka
- UCSC (University of Colombo Sri Lanka)
To do the trick.
Miss placed Sinhalese characters in a sentence are a thing of the past now.
Installing Sinhala Unicode
Visit: http://locallanguages.lk/OS_Support
scroll down and select the installation according to you operating system.
I recommend that W1nd0vvs XP users download the installation pack,
http://locallanguages.lk/files/SinhalaTamilKit_XP.exe
Complete the installation and restart the computer.
After restart you will have Sinhala Unicode installed on your computer.
